I have known Tuyet and Danny for years! My husband use to work with these two long ago. Back in 2014, I photographed their beautiful Lionsgate Event Center wedding. Since then, some of Tuyet’s friends have hired me for their weddings as well. So, I have been able to see them on occasion, and that’s always fun 🙂 This, however, was the first time I was able to meet and photograph their sweet kiddos too. How adorable are these two?! We were intending to take their Longmont Colorado family photographs at Roosevelt Park. Since there are lots of blooming trees there in the spring. There happened to be a Cinco de Mayo festival going on during the same time, however. So, we needed a new plan!
The Callahan House is very nearby, and I knew it had some flowers blooming, so we decided to move our session there. Luckily there was a large, gorgeous pink blossoming tree as well! Which was what I was really after for spring mini sessions. The Callahan House ended up being a perfect choice. The Garcia family really liked the Victorian Era house, the gardens, the wrought iron gates, and the various benches too.
For a brief mini session, we sure got a ton of great shots. This is such a photogenic family. Although I couldn’t quite get a big smile out of sweet Mr. Colton, big sister Leila was all smiles for me 🙂 Colton is sure adorable though, serious face and all! I tried really hard to get him to smile though…I really did!! Peek-a-boo, silly sounds, barking like a dog, dancing around, nothing seemed to bring out a huge grin. Still love the images, nonetheless!
This is definitely one of my favorites from these Longmont Colorado family photographs!
Finally got a little smirk out of him 😉
Thanks so much Garcia family! It was so wonderful to have you all in front of my camera 🙂 I hope to photograph you all again very soon, because it was sure fun to catch up.
Coming to the blog next, an epic winter senior photography session. Sarah put on her skiing gear for some awesome portraits in the snow…you definitely want to check back!
