My photographer friend and colleague, Kelsey, sent Nicole and Brandon my way. Brandon is Kelsey’s brother. I am so glad she did! I had the best time being their Westminster wedding photographer this past summer. Nicole and Brandon were married at Noah’s Event Center. This was my first, and last time shooting at this venue. Unfortunately, Noah’s closed their doors nationwide earlier this year. This was disappointing for so many, myself included, as I did really enjoy shooting at their Westminster location.
Nicole and Brandon opted to do a first look prior to the ceremony. We were all so, so glad that they did, because it rained a ton after their photo session. Had we left the bulk of their photos for later, it would have been a big challenge…everything would have been wet from the rain, we wouldn’t have had the time to go off site, and their photos would have lacked the variety we got! For their romantic bride and groom portraits, and some wedding party photos, we headed over to Standley Lake Regional Park. The storm was moving in, so the clouds were kind of dark and dramatic. I absolutely love what we got there…it was the picture-perfect location! And really close and convenient too!
Nicole and Brandon’s Westminster wedding was a really fun one, with some great memories and sweet touches!
Some of my favorite parts of their day included Nicole’s unique wood flower bouquet, their unity tree ceremony, and the delicious made-to-order donuts. I LOVE donuts, and would take them at every wedding if I could. Wait, scratch that, I would get way too fat that way! I guess we will leave them as a rare treat, for the occasional wedding that has them 😉 Nicole and Brandon also had a packed, super fun dance floor. And I loved the personalized ties Nicole had made for her groom, her dad, and her soon-to-be father-in-law! We ended their amazing wedding day with some night portraits in the rain.
How cute are these two during this sweet first look?! I do love an intimate first look! Just you and your sweetie…a private moment you will cherish forever 🙂 After sharing several laughs, hugs, and kisses, we headed over to Standley Lake for their romantic, couple’s portraits.
This is definitely one of my favorites from being Nicole and Brandon’s Westminster wedding photographer!
Thank you Nicole and Brandon. I truly hope you are enjoying your newlywed life, and weathering the storm of this coronapocalypse together. Such a crazy time right now…cannot believe this is real life! Hoping things will be back to normal very soon. That way we photographers can stop being forced to reschedule/cancel all our sessions and weddings, kids can get back to school, and REALLY selfishly hoping my 10 year anniversary Grecian vacation will still happen this summer! Alright, enough of that…as if we aren’t bombarded with enough covid-19 talk in the news and on social media. Take care of yourselves, and each other during this difficult time.
