Hey, hey! I hope you all are having a great weekend. Today on the blog Jennifer and David’s Sapphire Point wedding photography near Breckenridge. I have shot at Sapphire Point a ton over the years. But honestly, only a couple very small weddings. Everything else has been portrait sessions…and lots of them! So nice working with this Texas couple for their intimate and sweet elopement. They did have to reschedule their original date due to covid. That was probably a blessing in disguise though, because April in Summit County is still very snowy and cold. Jennifer’s gorgeous pink gown wouldn’t have looked quite the same covered up with a shawl/wrap. We ended up with an amazing afternoon! It seemed like rain was coming as we were finishing up their portraits. That made for a really dramatic sky though!
Some of my favorite parts of Jennifer and David’s elopement wedding was, of course, her stunning dress. She rocked it! I also loved the framed photo of their beloved pup that sat below them during their ceremony (as their actual dog would have done). The photo was of their dog at that same spot at the Sapphire Point Overlook. They were sad their dog wasn’t along on this trip. I also loved the little chipmunks sitting on the rocks observing their ceremony. Finally, the great little details that completed the wedding looks were very well done. Their cowboy boots, the custom label sewn into Jennifer’s dress (oh well that it had the original wedding date, it was still really cute!), and the little photo lockets that hung from Jennifer’s bouquet.
If you get married or have a photo shoot at Sapphire Point you can almost guarantee you will have some chipmunks photobomb your session LOL! There are a ton of them there…they sure are cute though!
So fitting for these covid times…masks AND a date change!
This is definitely one of my favorites from their Sapphire Point wedding photography.
Thanks again Jennifer and David. I hope you are enjoying married life together. If you are ever in Colorado for an anniversary or a family trip, I would love to have you in front of my camera again someday. Tomorrow on the blog I am bringing you another Golden Ponds senior session in Longmont. Chugging along with all these blog posts…let’s see how many consecutive days I can post before getting burnt out LOL?! This time of year is pretty quiet for new photography sessions, but there are a handful of things on the calendar in the coming weeks. So to check out my most recent work follow along on Facebook. Have a great week ahead!
