Juliette + Taylor | Evergreen Colorado Engagement Photos | Harry Potter Inspired Pictures

What a fun session this was with Taylor and Juliette! We captured their Evergreen Colorado engagement photos at Frosberg Park.  I have known Taylor since he was 2 years old. His parents lived next to my parents for awhile. Then even when they moved to a different part of Longmont, we stayed in touch and my sisters and I became Taylor’s babysitter. And then his sister Alyssa’s babysitter as well after she was born. I was so thrilled when he and Juliette got engaged and reached out to me as their wedding photographer.

We truly got the best of both worlds for their engagement session. A ton of nature photos in a gorgeous mountain lake setting at the Beaver Brook watershed. Followed by a themed session of something that they loved so much and has played a special place in their relationship…Harry Potter! These two share a huge love for Harry Potter. So much so that Taylor even proposed at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I was so happy to incorporate this theme into their photos, this made it so much more personal and special. They brought along wands, broomsticks, dressed in all black in a little bit of a darker forest setting. The photos turned out really cool! Especially after a little magic of my own. In photoshop that is!!

This is definitely a favorite from their Evergreen Colorado engagement photos! Always fun to do something different (and have a little fun in photoshop too.

Don’t worry, I did not use real smoke bombs…it was a photoshop overlay! We were in a terrible fire ban when these photos were taken. The risk is just not worth it for a photo shoot. I think this turned out great anyway 🙂
