The Huffman Family | Colorado Fall Mini Sessions | Golden Ponds Longmont

Happy Sunday all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent some time with my husband’s family at their cabin outside of Winter Park. Speaking of special times with family, here is the Huffman family! For the past probably 7 years I have hosted Colorado fall mini sessions in Boulder County. 2020 minis became a challenge! I had 12 families booked for one particular weekend and then we had a snowstorm and the temps were only in the teens. I decided we needed to reschedule because miserable, freezing kiddos do not make for a good photo shoot! The problem is, my fall schedule is always so packed and I didn’t have another full weekend available. So instead of two consecutive afternoons with back-to-back sessions, I had to space them out here and there. It worked thankfully, I got everyone in!

Many of the mini sessions ended up happening at Golden Ponds, and some others at Sandstone Ranch. The Huffman family made the trek up north for their session with me. We ended up having such a gorgeous afternoon. Such crazy Colorado weather haha! One weekend 13° high and snow, the next mild 50°, sunny and warm. I love working with this little family…so sweet, gracious and photogenic! Since these photos they have added a baby boy to their crew. Looking forward to future Colorado fall mini sessions with them as a family of four 😊

This is one of my favorites from their Golden Ponds fall photos. Fallyn is so stinking cute and full of energy! If only every toddler could be this cooperative during their family photo sessions…that would make my life a lot easier!
