Happy Sunday friends! I hope you are having a great weekend. Yesterday I had a wonderful couple’s session in Loveland. Today I am catching up on editing and blogging. And basically just avoiding the insane winds out there! Today I bring you the Quinlan family. I had the pleasure of capturing their Breckenridge extended family photos last summer. This family was really wonderful to work with from start to finish. The kiddos were very well behaved…but such little characters too! Some of them were currently living in Texas. Others as far away as South Korea. It was the first time they were all together since 2018. I am sure they had such a wonderful time together in our stunning mountains.
We started their session at Sapphire Point…where else LOL?! I wish I knew how many times I have shot here over the years, it’s gotta be over 30 by now! It’s obviously a great spot. It doesn’t require any real hike, which can be great for out-of-towners that aren’t used to high elevations. Sapphire Point has nice views right from the parking lot, and photographs amazingly well year round. I always suggest a few other places, however. But most clients do decide on Sapphire Point.
Often when clients select Sapphire Point I will suggest stopping at Windy Point Campground as well. It’s literally five minutes down the road, so we might as well! The views aren’t drastically different there. But at Windy Point Campground you do also get the open field vibe. That can be nice to get some more candid stuff, like walking shots, since those can be a little tougher at the “hillier” Sapphire Point. Overall I was so thrilled with the Quinlan’s photo shoot. The weather was nice (although the kids got cold at the end!), the views were showing off. We also got a great mix of candids and posed portraits, and every grouping imaginable with this group of 10.
This is one of my favorites from the Quinlan’s Breckenridge extended family photos. I love the lush green grass, the blue mountains with cool clouds. As well as this photogenic bunch and trying out a little bit of a different pose.

Thanks so much Quinlan family…you were sure a fun bunch! I hope you had the best trip to the Colorado mountains, and made special memories that you will cherish for years to come. On the blog next, Kennedi and Garrison’s Grand Lake maternity photos. Goodness did we get an absolute ton of variety! Have a great week ahead and be well 🙂
