Today on the blog, Connor’s Longmont and Firestone senior session. Connor’s mom was really on top of things, and contacted me while he was still a junior to start planning his senior session. This was such a refreshing change, since so many of my senior sessions are planned pretty last minute (just in time for the yearbook deadline). During October I usually end up shooting every single day of the week to meet these upcoming deadlines. Connor had an early summer senior session. We started at Golden Ponds in Longmont. This is such a popular location, but for good reason. It is chockfull of variety, and great nature photos opps. Connor works at Saddleback Golf Club in Firestone. He really wanted to incorporate this hobby, and capture some Colorado golf senior photos as well.
Connor is currently in his final weeks as a student at Mead High School. I really enjoyed meeting at photographing him, and his parents for a few photos as well. Connor is an only child, and clearly the light of his parents’ lives! It was impossible to not think of my own little family of three. I am sure before I know it it will be time for his senior session as well. If we still live where we do in Firestone, he will be a Mead Maverick as well 🙂 Go class of 2035 LOL! Hopefully my boy will grow up to be a kind, well-rounded, polite young man like Connor. He was extremely cooperative throughout his session…which isn’t always the case for senior guys.
After getting photos by the ponds, the waterfall, with some lush trees, and on the bridge, we left Golden Ponds and headed to Saddleback Golf Club. Connor works at the golf course, so he knows all the best spots for good views. He zipped us around on the golf cart, as the sun was setting quicker than we anticipated. Luckily I come prepared! I brought out my light stands and flashes to  create some dramatic sunset photos. We got some really fun, creative golf-themed photos. We included a golf ball and club, managed another lightning-fast outfit change, and even incorporated their family dog into a few shots before we called it a wrap. What a great session, with a great young man!
This is definitely one of my favorites of Connor’s Colorado golf senior photos. I had to get low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low! Haha! I love the strong pose, the colorful sunset over the mountains, and the unique perspective with the golf ball in the foreground.

Thanks again Connor and your delightful parents! I had a great time working with you all. Do you have “senioritis” yet? Just about seven weeks to go until graduation. I hope it’s a celebration to remember! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors 🙂 On the blog next, the Quinlan’s extended family session near Breckenridge.
