Today on the blog I bring you the gorgeous Kelsey and Slade! I loved capturing these Estes Park maternity portraits for this wonderful out-of-state couple. We decided on the jaw-dropping backdrop of Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park for their photo session. We had a great evening for the session…decent weather, dramatic skies, and not too packed in the park. Kelsey and Slade were super kind and genuine people, and a lot of fun to work with. And can we talk about how natural and photogenic they are in front of my camera?!
Kelsey selected two stunning, bump hugging maternity gowns for the photo shoot. She looked incredible, glowing, and filled with excitement for the upcoming arrival of their first baby. Kelsey started in an off-the-shoulder, white lace dress. A truly great selection that would go with absolutely any background we chose. Next, she changed into long sleeve, beige dress with a neat “criss cross” neckline (or ruched, not sure what the right term is). Another great, neutral choice. Yet not boring in the least! She looked so great…it’s not even fair to the rest of us LOL! While we did 95% of the shoot at Sprague Lake, I did mention to them that I saw a small field of yellow wildflowers near the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP. That liked that idea so we decided since we had to exit out of the park that way anyway, we may as well stop there for a few more amazing shots. I am so glad that we did, because the sky was getting so colorful and dramatic, and I loved the color and variety the wildflowers provided. Overall, an unforgettable session in our colorful Colorado mountains!

Thank you so much Kelsey and Slade! It was sure a delight to have you both in front of my camera. I hope parenthood is going amazingly well so far.
