One word that best describes Tami and Bert…troopers! Their shoot was so very windy. They didn’t complain. They simply cuddled together and made the best of our time together. We went into Rocky Mountain National Park on this brutally chilly afternoon. The elements may have been tough, but being Tami and Bert’s Estes Park maternity photographer was still such a joy. Since this session I have also had an opportunity to work with these two again, and meet their precious baby girl. What a doll! I will share those down the road…so many sessions, so little time.
For Tami and Bert’s winter wonderland maternity portraits we started at Sprague Lake. If you follow my blog, you know how much I love this location. Even though we were all frigid, we still managed to fit in all of the hot spots at Sprague. The dock, the wooden bridges, the benches, and of course the lake and mountain views. We also did some quick photos amongst the super tall evergreen trees covered in snow. This isn’t an area that I always shoot in at Sprague, but typically recommend it during winter to give us some snowy, forest vibes! Tami changed into a long red maternity gown for the remainder of the session. It popped against all of the snow and trees, and she looked beautiful!

We headed over to Moraine Park with the hopes that maybe (somehow) it would be less windy there. But, nope…even worse! Once the sun was tucking behind the mountains it got even colder. They had to add their jackets into the photos, and so we decided to call it a day!

This is definitely one of the favorites of mine as their Estes Park maternity photographer. I love their sweet, chilly cuddle. As well as all of the beautiful colors…blue mountains, golden grasses and sunlight, and Tami’s colorful red maternity gown.

Tami and Bert, you guys are awesome! Our time together could have been absolutely miserable…but you guys made it memorable and fun regardless of the crazy wind! I will be back tomorrow. I hope you will too 🙂 Liza’s Longmont senior photos will be up next. I still have so much more great stuff to share here on the blog during my slow season.
