Ariana + Austin | RMNP Engagement Photography Session | Sprague Lake

At the beginning of my photography career I captured Ariana’s senior photos in Longmont. I was thrilled when she reached out after her engagement as well. Although they are planning their fall southern wedding, and I won’t be capturing their wedding images. I was still able to capture their RMNP engagement photography session. We decided on the ever popular Sprague Lake for the session. What an absolutely gorgeous evening for their photoshoot! We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day 🙂

This was my first time meeting Austin. He is a character and they have a lot of fun together. They are extremely playful! But they could also turn on the romance when needed too. I love the variety we were able to capture together.

Ariana and Austin decided on two outfits for their engagement session. The first is what we ended up doing the majority of the photos in, since it was the dressier option. Although it wasn’t a fall session, Ariana wanted to wear a fall color, since the photos would be used for save-the-dates and displayed at their fall wedding. She wore a burnt orange tulle dress. I love this color so much! It really reminded me of the Mr. Pretty skirt from Jessie and Chris’ couple’s session, also in Estes Park. Austin wore a white button down and khaki pants. After a quick outfit change Ariana wore a flutter sleeve white top, jeans, and a flannel around her waist. Austin chose a simple black tee and jeans. Their choices were neutral enough to compete with the scenery, but in no way boring. Great job guys!

This is definitely one of my favorites from their RMNP engagement photography session. Love that view, the golden light, and the tender moment between this sweet couple!

Ariana, it was wonderful to work with you again. Although it sure makes me feel old that it seems like just yesterday you were about to start your senior year of high school! I am so happy for you and Austin. Hopefully your southern wedding is everything you ever dreamed of 🙂 On the blog tomorrow, beautiful Miss Emma’s Boulder senior photos. That will be my last post before Christmas, so I can prepare for time with family and a visit from old St. Nick!
