Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Taking a little break after this post to spend some time with my family. Meet Emma! She is one of the many awesome class of 2023 seniors I had the pleasure of photographing earlier this year. Emma selected the Foothills Community Park for her Boulder senior portrait photography session. This was my first time shooting at this location. I always love checking out new spots. This park worked out well for her session, but with it not being particularly popular I was pretty surprised she selected it. I later found out that she and her family spent time at this park when she was younger, so it had some sentimentality attached to it. I love that!
The Foothills Community Park offers foothill mountain views (no surprise because of the name!). As well as some rustic fences, and golden, open fields. On my drive over to the park I noticed a community garden right nearby. I did mention it to Emma, and we decided to stop by there at the end of her session for some more variety in the photos. I loved all of the colorful flowers…especially all of the sunflowers! There was also some nice green grass and a lush ivy wall. Just like on my recent post with Mollie, it probably isn’t ivy at all LOL! I am no plant expert, but I do know what looks good on camera. Emma kept things simple with one outfit. An off-white dress and cowgirl boots. Complete with her “blonde bombshell” hairstyle and vibrant red lips. She looked great, and such a natural model in front of the camera. What a great session!
This is one of my favorites from Emma’s Boulder senior portrait photography session. If you are in a dress in an expansive, open field…you just gotta twirl LOL!
Thanks so much Emma for allowing me to capture such an important time in your young adult life! It was a lot of fun working with you. Wishing you all out there a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate). May you enjoy some good food and good laughs with friends and family. And may Santa make all of your Christmas wishes come true 😉 See you back here soon with an awesome June wedding from Grand Lake.
