Happy Valentine’s Day friends! I hope you are celebrating with the ones you love the most. How fitting that on this day of love, I am sharing some epic Lionscrest Manor wedding inspiration with you all. Kelsey and Jay’s wedding day was probably one of my favorite Lionscrest weddings ever. It was so good! These two were such sweet people, and their day ran smoothly and was so beautiful! They are a Texas couple and planned a destination wedding in the Colorado mountains from afar. I am sure it’s such a relief when everything comes together so well.
Kelsey and Jay did a first look together, and this allowed for so much bride and groom portrait time. Which I always love! They even went back out for more couple’s photos at sunset time. And we even captured a couple night portraits inside the mansion. We had probably the most gorgeous sunset of the year on this evening. The sky was so full of color and drama. Deep blues, pinks and purples, peach and gold. Sure wish we could order this sky up at each and every wedding I shoot. Unfortunately I think some wildfire smoke was the reason for the amazing sky, so I definitely don’t want to order that up though!
Aside from the sunset, there are many other things I loved about their wedding day. Kelsey’s long, tulle bridal robe was the most beautiful I have ever seen. Her cathedral veil was also so pretty. You know me…I love to play with a long veil and get some dramatic pictures! Their tree and mountain adorned wedding cake (by my friends from Colorado Rose Cake Co) was absolutely perfect for this Colorado mountain setting. The LOVE marquee letters that they had on the stage at their wedding reception were a fun added touch too. It was the perfect backdrop for the private dance that they shared after their guests exited the reception space. After which, they ran through a tunnel of bubbles and glow wands to wrap up an incredible day!

This is definitely one of my favorites from Kelsey and Jay’s September wedding. Those colorful skies were jaw-droppingly amazing! That’s certainly some gorgeous Lionscrest Manor wedding inspiration for you 🙂

Kelsey and Jay…what a fantastic wedding celebration! Thank you so much for including me in your day. Wishing you a lifetime of wedded bliss together. I ended up having to have back surgery just days after their wedding. My “foot drop” had gotten bad and I fell multiple times at their wedding. That was sure embarrassing! But worth the falls to get “up on the mountain” multiple times for some incredible couple’s portraits that they will cherish forever.
Next on the blog, the Polston family at Sprague Lake again. This time for their winter wonderland maternity family portraits. Mama Kylie wore not one, but two, show-stopping maternity gowns. Check back soon! Enjoy your Valentine’s Day 🙂
