The Polston family loved their summer session at Sprague Lake so much, they wanted to do it again! While the weather was much different for their Colorado winter maternity photography, the beauty was equal. I have had some truly frigid winter sessions in Rocky Mountain National Park over the years. We totally lucked out with such a gorgeous, sunny day! Not warm, of course, but we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The snow blanketing the ground and the frozen lake really added to the winter wonderland landscape.

We got some great family photos all around Sprague Lake, but focused even more attention on mama Kylie and baby number 2. Kylie looked absolutely stunning for her photo shoot! She wore two show-stopping maternity gowns, and added two different fur shrugs here and there for some great variety. First Kylie wore a peachy tulle maternity gown, with a sweetheart neckline and a long train. This was such a stunning choice, especially against her dark hair. After a bunch of photos in this dress, she changed into her second look. The second dress was kelly green, and popped beautifully against all of the white snow and ice, and the blue mountains. I honestly don’t think I can pick a favorite between these two, because they both looked incredible on her. These were probably some of my favorite maternity dresses to date!

Don’t make me…I cannot pick just one favorite LOL! But this is definitely one of my favorites from these Colorado winter maternity photography session. I just love that golden hour light over the mountains. As well as this vibrant green dress against the stark white ice, snow, and fur shrug. Gorgeous, glowing mama!

Thanks so much Kylie and family. It was such a pleasure to work with you all twice in 2022. I hope life as a family of four is going great so far. Hopefully we have an opportunity to work together again in this new year. It would be wonderful to meet your newest precious baby girl. I am sure she is just as precious as her big sister!
