Earlier this month I met up with Nicole and Scott at Mount Falcon Park west trailhead for their photography session. They had recently moved to Colorado and wanted a mountain backdrop for their Colorado anniversary portraits. They got married two years ago, right in the middle of covid craziness. But they had wanted a very small micro wedding anyway, so it hadn’t really ruined their plans like many other couples. I love that they decided to do a session together! It just goes to show that you don’t have to have children to have a professional photography session. It’s wonderful to have professional photos with the person you love most, and to cherish this special time in your marriage.
Since Nicole and Scott are new to Colorado, they didn’t know about a ton of photo locations. So I made a bunch of great suggestions for them! They loved the look of Mount Falcon West. I agreed this was a great choice. Particularly this time of year, the trees can still look really sparse and dead. This location has a lot of pine trees instead, so it still looks fairly green. And most definitely beautiful! They stuck to one outfit, which made things easy. Nicole in a fun, puff sleeve white dress. Scott wore nice button down shirt and dark jeans. They looked really great, I especially love Nicole’s gorgeous, long locks! I wish I had great hair like that!!
This is definitely one of my favorites from these Colorado anniversary portraits. I love this sweet moment, those dramatic skies, and that beautiful view!
