Snuggling up on this cold snowy day, reliving some happy memories from 2020 photography sessions! Today on the blog, Kim & Dan’s winter session. These two were referred to me by my photography friend Katy Marble Photography. Katy moved to Texas and was no longer shooting Colorado weddings. Her loss was my gain…because these two (and Kim’s sweet daughter Fallyn) were so amazing to work with 🙂 Their Mount Falcon engagement photos were a little chilly, but oh so beautiful! We did capture plenty of family photos as well, with little Miss Fallyn. I did decide, however, to just make this post about these two. Especially because I will eventually be sharing their fall family photos here too.
Mount Falcon is a wonderful location for portrait sessions of all kinds! I do not get to this location nearly enough. It boasts great mountain views, open fields, lots of pretty trees, downed tree trunks to use as benches, and some fences to provide some rustic elements too. Kim and Dan kept things simple and stuck to just one outfit. They looked great though! Kim’s wine colored shirt really popped against the blue of the mountains and the green of the pine trees. I loved the addition of her cozy scarf too!
I cannot wait to also share their stunning wedding day with you too…as soon as I can 🙂 They were one of the many couples who’s wedding was affected by covid. They originally planned for a March 2020 wedding at the Mount Vernon Canyon Club. The venue had to cancel their event, so they moved the wedding to Kim’s man of honor’s amazing home in Cherry Creek. They also moved the wedding to May, I am so glad I was still available to photograph it. The event was not their plan A, but it came together beautifully and was a picture perfect, intimate celebration of love!
This is one of my favorites from Kim and Dan’s Mount Falcon engagement photos…these two are so cute together!
Check back soon for Kim and Dan’s gorgeous, “plan B” wedding in Denver 🙂 You won’t want to miss it! To follow along with my more recent work, follow along on social media. I post on Facebook and Instagram a whole lot more than the blog. If you would still like to get some of your own wintery engagement pictures in the snow, contact me now and get on the schedule. Summer will be here before we know it!
