This was the third time I have had Tiana in front of my camera for senior photos. Two high school sessions. Her summer, swimming senior photos are some of my most popular EVER! Then I also did a snowy winter session at the ice castles too. Agh, I miss the ice castles! They need to bring them back to Colorado again. Anyway, it was so great to see Tiana and her family again for these CU Boulder graduation portraits. I met them at the popular, spiral staircases of Old Main. We stuck to that general area of campus, since it’s so pretty and offers some great variety. We also got some photos with the buffalo sculpture near Folsom Field, and the ornate doors of Macky Auditorium.
Tiana graduated on a chilly, rainy day in May with her bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies. She plans to move to California and find work out there, hopefully utilizing her degree. I am sure she will miss the University of Colorado tremendously. She is a buffalo through and through! She even has a CU buffs tattoo on her ankle. She got that shortly after her high school graduation, and rocking it ever since. Besides the tattoo, we incorporated some other CU/graduation items into her college senior pictures. Tiana had her cap and gown, her sash and cords, and 2023 tassel. She also wore a unique CU necklace made out of a peso. They also brought a cute “class of 2023” sign in the school’s black and gold colors and some gold 2023 balloons. Props can be a great addition to a senior session!
This one with Tiana’s family is definitely a favorite from these CU Boulder graduation portraits. Joyful smiles, jaw-dropping campus scenery, and some fun props!
Thanks so much Tiana! It was wonderful to have you in front of my camera again. Now go and conquer the world! I know you are going to do great things to make this world a more equal, loving, and peaceful place 🙂 Next on the blog, Nicole and Dan’s spring elopement wedding portraits at Sprague Lake in beautiful Rock Mountain National Park.
