As I think I mentioned before, this has been the year of the siblings! I have had numerous opportunities to capture senior photos for clients whom I also captured senior photos for their siblings in previous years. This is always so flattering! It lets me know they obviously enjoyed working with me, and the end result from our session together. I had photographed Lilly’s sister’s session a few years ago at Pella Crossing and the Laverne M Johnson Park in Lyons. The weather had me a little worried for Lilly’s Chautauqua Boulder senior photos, but the rain held out until the last few minutes of the session. It turned out to be a truly gorgeous evening. Dramatic skies and lots of color from all the rain this summer. I have shot at Chautauqua so many times over the years, but this was the first time I recall seeing these yellow wildflowers. So beautiful and the perfect photo opp for Lilly’s session!
Lilly decided on three outfits for her senior pictures, she looked great! First, she wore a gray skirt, a red/coral crop tank top, and some well-loved Converse. then she changed into a long, tiered, floral dress. Lilly ended in a colorful, floral dress that was giving some slight 1960s “flower child” vibes. I love her eclectic, boho style and those long, wavy locks are giving me major hair envy. I just love when a session goes this smoothly, makes my job a whole lot of fun!
This is definitely one of my favorites from Lilly’s Chautauqua Boulder senior photos. Can’t get enough of that amazing view, these gorgeous yellow wildflowers, and Lilly’s joyful smile!
Thanks so much Lilly! I hope senior year is off to a great start. Enjoy every minute of it, it will fly by so fast! Wishing you the very best in whatever your future has in store. For the first blog post in the new month, next I will share wedding photos from Morgan and Seth’s gorgeous day in rural Crook, Colorado. Check back soon 🙂
