Melissa + Tim | Wedding Photos at Lionscrest Manor | Colorado Fall Wedding

Today I am sharing my final wedding of 2025. I hope you enjoy Melissa and Tim’s wedding photos at Lionscrest Manor. This was such a gorgeous and memorable day! Melissa and Tim had so many awesome and unique wedding details. Even some that I have never seen before. Which is really saying something since I have captured around 250 weddings in my career! I think Melissa and I are a lot alike. Not only do we share the same name, but we also wanted fun, playful and creative wedding details for our guests to enjoy. And enjoy they did! Some of my favorites included their caramel apple wedding favors, the giant crossword puzzle about the couple, s’mores and ice cream in place of a traditional wedding cake.

This was the first time I have seen a live wedding artist at a wedding. She painted pretty much all day, but the end result was absolutely incredible. I am sure they will cherish it for a lifetime. Guests enjoyed the caricature artist during the cocktail hour. What a fun keepsake from this special day! Their guestbook was also so creative. Guests wrote messages and well wishes on a custom deck of playing cards. They should play cards every anniversary and re-read all of these sweet messages. Guests also loved the great band that performed during the reception. The dance floor was pretty consistently packed, and everyone had such a great time! The night ended with a private dance between the newlyweds and then guests waved fiber optic wands to send them off into the night. A truly amazing day!

If I had to guess Melissa’s “love language” is gifts. She did a first look and a gift exchange with so many important people in her life. She had wedding party gifts for the sisters, gifts for her parents, her new in-laws, her beloved aunt and uncle. And even did surprise boudoir photos for Tim and presented a book of those during their “first touch”. They didn’t see each other prior to the ceremony. But they did hold hands at the bottom of the staircase, chat a little, and exchange gifts all without seeing each other. Gifts were reciprocated for Melissa as well. She received new jewelry from her parents and from Tim. What a thoughtful and caring bunch!
