Malachi – Class of 2025 | Colorado Soccer Senior Pictures | Sandstone Ranch Longmont

We had to change locations last minute for Malachi’s Colorado soccer senior pictures. We had originally planned to go to Niwot High School for his session. Using the field where he and his team actually practices and plays. And capture the “non soccer” photos with the trees and other greenery areas around the school. A different sports team ended up using the field, so I suggested Sandstone Ranch. It ended up working wonderfully! There were a bunch of open soccer fields available. We mostly stuck to photos around the goal, since Malachi is a goalkeeper for the Niwot soccer team. I loved the vibrant fall foliage in the background too! After a bunch of soccer shots, posed and candid, action shots, we headed back to the Sandstone Ranch Visitor’s Center for some more traditional senior portraits.

Sandstone Ranch open space is always a good option, but it’s especially beautiful in the fall. We captured photos by the ponds, against the rustic, wooden barn, on the bridge, with the ivy wall, and incorporating all of the colorful fall foliage by the historic house. Malachi had 3ish outfits for his senior session. I say “ish” because he added a leather jacket for a handful of images as well. He started in his soccer uniform, a combo of aqua and turquoise blues. For the nature photos he started in black pants, a green sweater, and the ever popular Adidas Samba shoes. Next he changed into jeans, and a simple black tee. This is the outfit he was in for the addition of the leather jacket. This outfit, with the leather jacket, was my personal favorite! The green sweater made another appearance at the end of the session, which complimented the gold and orange foliage nicely.
