Cecilia – Class of 2026 | CO Mountain Senior Photography | Brainard Lake

I have known Cecilia for a few years, I have known her mom for even longer. Her mom is in the adult hip hop with me at Dance Dimensions. Cecilia also dances there and is part of the Starbound company that I too was part of. Years ago I did Cecilia’s older sister Louisa’s senior photos as well. Cecilia also incorporated dance into her photos. She wore her pointe shoes for a handful of photos. As well as her tap shoes for a handful of photos. Cecilia is a great tapper, that is her personal favorite style of dance. We decided on Brainard Lake for her CO mountain senior photography session. It’s such a beautiful location! I am always up for the trek up there.

It was sprinkling the entire drive up to Brainard Lake. When we arrived and park, the downpour started! We decided to wait it out and hope it passed. You know the saying “If you don’t like the weather in Colorado, wait 10 minutes”. Thankfully this saying was correct! The weather did pass and the rest of the evening was beautiful. We got so much amazing variety during Cecilia’s session. She had a bunch of outfits and we captured images in several scenic spots at this expansive location. Photos by the little waterfall and river, by the bridge, on the tree-lined road, in the forest, and of course by the lake. And actually, even photos IN the lake!

Most of Cecilia’s outfits were jeans and sneakers, with various tops. She started out in a wine colored, flutter sleeve top. It was a great color that really popped against all of the greens and browns in the forest area. Next, a lighter pair of jeans with a cream colored tank top with an eyelet bottom. Then a navy blue and white flowy, layered tank top. Next, a delicate, white tank top with a small floral pattern. Finally, a v-neck navy blue dress. First with Birkenstocks, and then barefoot. This final outfit was my personal favorite and it worked very well when Cecilia got into the mountain lake.

This is one of my favorites from Cecilia’s CO mountain senior photography session. That scenery is absolutely breathtaking! And I love Cecilia’s sassy pose!
