The Jenkins Family | Boulder Family Mini Session | Coot Lake

I have worked with the Jenkins family numerous times over the years. They usually join my fall mini sessions. This year was extra special because the location was the same as where I had done their maternity photos in 2020. You can check that session HERE. Coot Lake worked wonderfully for both the maternity photos and this Boulder family mini session. These guys lucked out with probably the best weather of this entire weekend. We dealt with so much wind on Saturday, and the later sessions on Sunday got rained out. Yes it was cloudy during the Jenkins family session. But at least it wasn’t too dreary, and the dramatic clouds photographed very well.

The Jenkins family looked very cute during their fall session. They all wore jeans, dad in a dark blue sweatshirt. I loved the matching vibrant orange of Lisa and Colton’s shirts. We got great shots in numerous hot spots that Coot Lake offers. The open mountain fields, with the rustic fences, on the wooden bridge, and with the colorful fall foliage of course. Colton is such a little character. I love that his personality came out so well in these photos. It’s been so great to see him grow and change over the years. And considering I have known his parents since Longmont High School days, I have definitely seen them grow and change as well. They are such great parents! And they seem to be just as in love as those high school sweethearts they once were.

This is definitely one of my favorites from the Jenkins’ Boulder family mini session. Pure joy on Colton’s face during this fun, candid moment.
