The Boone Family | Colorado Fall Family Portraits | Idaho Creek Park Longmont

Last day of January…finally! Feels like this has month has had about 47 days LOL! Today on the blog, taking it back to warmer days with the Boone family. They took advantage of my 2022 mini sessions. We went to the Idaho Creek Park for these Longmont Colorado fall family portraits. This was my first time shooting at this location, but I had 11 sessions there in two afternoons. I had stumbled across this spot a few years back when I was driving around trying to find somewhere locally with decent fall colors. This location worked out very well. Although we had a few hiccups with clients finding the right location. They all made it eventually, and I was able to squeeze everyone in. We took advantage of all the variety at this location. The bridge, the ponds, the open fields, and of course, all of the colorful foliage.

Kennedi and Garrison may look familiar, as they traveled to Colorado to have their maternity photo session with me in Grand Lake. Since then, they have actually relocated to Colorado. I was thrilled when they signed up for my mini sessions. It was wonderful to see them again, and meet their adorable daughter! She took a few minutes to warm up to me, but we eventually managed to get some sweet smiles. She is sure a cutie! I absolutely loved the outfits they picked out for their session. Garrison was neutral in dark jeans, a white shirt, and tan corduroy jacket. Kennedi wore a dark, burnt orange sweater dress with a trendy, plaid “shacket” (shirt jacket). She finished her look with tall suede boots and a wide brim hat. Little Phoenix looked adorable in her color block jumper, white tights, and floral bow headband. Perfect fall outfits for a wonderful family.

This is one of my favorites from these Colorado fall family portraits. Loved this fallen tree, it made a picture perfect bench! Phoenix is so cute holding her little leaf!

Thanks so much Boone family! It was wonderful to work together, and have Phoenix in front of my camera (outside of the belly). I would love future opportunities to work together again. I hope life in Colorado has been treating you guys well. On the blog for the first day of February tomorrow, I will bring you Danielle and Dave’s Hermit Park wedding in Estes Park. What a great start to the first day of the “month of love”!
