I would have to do the math, but I think I have shot more weddings at Chatfield Botanic Gardens, than anywhere else! It’s a great venue, especially for a beautiful, rustic Colorado wedding. And that is just what Chelsea & Shawn had! They became a family of 3 on this day, and I was so glad to witness it. Shawn’s son, Sebastian, played an important role in their day, and he is just the sweetest young man 🙂 He even decorated the wooden box that held Chelsea and Shawn’s rings.
I am sure Chelsea & Shawn would have preferred a sunny wedding day, but mother nature had different plans. It definitely wasn’t my rainiest wedding of 2015 though! These two weren’t going to let a little rain ruin their day anyway, and it was such a fun wedding 🙂 They had to move their reception dancing into the barn, but it didn’t keep their guests from having a great time either! Chelsea & Shawn were even game to go out and take a few nighttime rainy photos with me! 
Then we were off to Chatfield Botanic Gardens to get Chelsea and Shawn married!
The girls were getting emotional when seeing Chelsea in her beautiful lace gown!
Meanwhile over with the guys… 
It started to sprinkle during bride and bridesmaids photos…the full on rain storm fortunately held off until the reception! But it kept us on our toes all day!
I really loved the Chelsea and Shawn had an “unplugged wedding”! They asked guests to put away their cameras and phone, and just be present during the ceremony. It sure makes my job easier, because I am not competing for the crucial shots!!
It was so incredibly sweet when Chelsea read “stepmom vows” to Sebastian. There was not a dry eye in the place!
I know they wished it hadn’t rained on their wedding day, but at least it waited until the reception. They were even able to have their first dance outside under the strung white lights!
Chelsea’s dress got just a wee bit dirty LOL!
Thanks so much, Chelsea & Shawn, for allowing me to capture your special day! I had so much fun getting to know you, and I hope you will cherish the photos always 🙂
