Meet the Malone family! They are a sweet family that recently moved here from Chicago. They wanted pretty mountain views for their Colorado family photos. Some quintessentially Colorado photos for their first Christmas cards while living in our lovely state. One of my photographer friends was nice enough to share this photo location with me. Saying it is a hidden gem, would be a huge understatement. It’s back behind the casinos of Blackhawk (of all places), way up the hillside! The first day we tried to take these photos, the weather did not cooperate. It was so foggy, you couldn’t even see the mountains. Cold, dreary, and no mountain views was not what they had in mind…so we rescheduled! This was quite the challenge because fall is one of the busiest times of year, and I also had a 9-day long trip to Arizona coming up. I found an opening in my schedule, one early Saturday morning, and it ended up great. We had a bit of wind, but otherwise it was beautiful, and we also found a cluster of colorful aspen trees. Those yellow trees really popped against their great outfits. Welcome to Colorado, Malone family…I hope you love it here, as much as I do 🙂
