My dear photographer buddy, Kristina Rice, and I have shot a lot of weddings together in the past 3 years! This was the first one where I was the second shooter for her, and it was so much fun. Kristina is having me along for several more this season, starting this week. I am really excited to shoot for her again…I am sure it will be a good time! Taylor and Zach’s Mon Cheri wedding last summer was a really fun, memorable one. I had never shot at this venue before. To be honest, I didn’t even know there was a wedding venue at that location 🙂 I had probably drove by the Colorado Cherry Company (on the way to Estes Park) a hundred times in my life. I didn’t have a clue their was a beautiful wedding venue tucked back in there.
Taylor and Zach’s rustic Colorado wedding was a shabby chic country affair. There were lots of antlers, cowboy boots and hats, and they even brought out their guns for some of the photos….that was a first for me! There was also no shortage of love and laughs throughout the day. In fact, these two lovebirds didn’t need much direction at all during their romantic portraits.
Some of my favorite parts of this Estes Park wedding were the stunning, earthy florals, the cool, wooden ceremony doors, their tree planting unity ceremony, the super fun wedding party, and the ruthless cake smash between the bride and groom! The woodsy backdrop was a perfect location for their rustic, country nuptials. Taylor and Zach’s day was uniquely them, just the way it should be.
This has to be the best bridesmaid and groomsmen recessional that I have seen…nailed it!
They did not hold back, and were both totally covered in frosting!

I really hope to return to this venue again soon, to work with another unique and loving couple! Finally, thanks Kristina for having me along 🙂
