We really lucked out for Michael’s Longmont Colorado senior photography session last fall. The weather was perfect. We were also at peak week for the fall colors at Coot Lake in Boulder. Shortly into our session I realized I had interacted with Michael numerous times before. He was employed at Inta Juice, and I visited on several occasions. I sure do enjoy a delicious smoothie…I recommend the Hawaiian Dream! Yum!! Also, I had second shot a few weddings for members of Michael’s family in years past with my friend, Carylee Photography.
I have probably shot more portrait sessions at Coot Lake than anywhere else. It’s not far from me, it’s a pretty location with a lot of space for everyone, so it never seems super crowded. It also has a lot of variety, and it’s an extremely easy walk. There are open fields, pretty mountain views, aspen trees, easy access to Boulder Reservoir, and the dock, bridge and benches at Coot Lake make for nice photo ops. I guess the only real negative is that it can get pretty windy there. The wind has made more than one session there, extremely challenging. This day, fortunately, was sunny and calm. Michael’s hair color matched the colorful changing leaves well too 😉 I don’t photograph a ton of senior guys, but Michael was very easy to work with. He didn’t complain, was quite photogenic, and we even had a couple laughs during the session. Enjoy the last few months of your senior year Michael, and all the best in the future!
It’s never too early to book your fall portrait session with Plum Pretty Photography, award-winning Colorado senior and wedding photographer. September and October are always my busiest months, so let’s get you on the calendar!
