Maya + Ronny | Mary’s Lake Lodge Wedding Photos | Estes Park Photographer

This was not my first time capturing Marys Lake Lodge wedding photos. It, however, was my first time shooting alongside Danna Frost Photography. I always thought Danna and I had a similar style. So when she was looking for a second photographer in Estes Park, I jumped at the opportunity. I wasn’t sure how my labor and recovery was going to go with Dominic, so I had kept my May schedule open. Since I felt great, earlier than expected, I was ready to dust my camera gear off and shoot again. Fortunately, this was a quick 6 hour wedding day, to ease me back into things a bit (it had been since November since I had photographed a wedding afterall).

Maya and Ronny had a beautiful, intimate, May wedding. They had a maid-of-honor and best man stand in for their bridal party. It can be a really nice change to not have a huge group to wrangle! Bride and groom romantic portraits were extremely important to Maya and Ronny, so there was ample time in their timeline to focus on these. We met in Rocky Mountain National Park for their portrait time, and it was awesome! Everything was colorful, it wasn’t too busy, and the weather even cooperated with us 🙂

Moraine Park was the picture perfect location for a wedding first look! I obviously like the spot a lot. Not only did I have my own maternity photos captured there, but I am also heading back there this weekend for some RMNP engagement photographs.

I have seen a lot of navy blue suits in recent years, but this was the first time a groom sported a bright, royal blue suit. I kind of loved it! It looked great on Ronny, and against the mountainous backdrop 🙂

Ronny’s best man sang and played the guitar for their first dance song! It was wonderful, and incredible personal…guests loved it 🙂

This cute mini waterfall wasn’t here the last time I shot a wedding at Mary’s Lake Lodge. It’s a great addition…and a perfect little photo op! We even lucked out with a beautifully colorful sunset 🙂
