I have known Chelsea since college. We danced together on the Buff Gold Dance Team…go buffs! It’s kind of funny that I should be writing this blog post on this chilly Saturday afternoon. Because I randomly put on my CU Dance Team long sleeve tee today. I haven’t worn it in years, and it brought back a lot of great memories with Chelsea, and all of my other teammates. I had not seen Chelsea since these college days, but thanks to Facebook we reconnected last year. When she contacted me about doing Longmont family photographs, I was really excited to see her again “in real life”. Also, to meet her adorable family 🙂 Her kiddos are incredibly sweet! Add in a gorgeous, sunny, fall day, and that is a recipe for a successful family portrait session.
For the Pierotti family’s photos we met at Coot Lake, just outside of Boulder. The leaves were changing on many of the trees, so we got some great color in there too. With two active kiddos, and a mom that is a wonderful dancer herself, I knew I wanted to capture a lot of movement and action in their photos. They walked, they tickled and hugged, they swung and even tossed the kiddos in the air. It was a really fun time!

Thanks so much Chelsea and family! I would love to work with you guys again in the future 🙂 Gosh, I sure miss dance sometimes, and all of the amazing ladies I met through my 20 year dance journey. We should really plan a Buff Gold reunion for the ladies still in Colorado 😉 That would be such a fun blast from the past!
