You may remember Sasha’s previous session with me last fall. Well after that, I asked if she would be interested in being the very first member of my inaugural senior rep team. She accepted, and I was very happy to have her represent Silver Creek High School for my team. I thought it would be fun to do a mini session during each of the four seasons. For the spring session of her Silver Creek Colorado senior photos we met at Roosevelt Park in Longmont. I had driven all around town looking for some colorful spring blooms for the photo session. Roosevelt Park looked stunning, and I knew I needed to photograph miss Sasha there.
The session did not disappoint. In fact, I was loving it so much…it turned into much more than a “mini session”! We shot for nearly two hours, at three nearby locations, and I delivered a pretty large gallery of images for Sasha to enjoy. This is also the reason this blog post is a bit on the lengthy side as well. What are you gonna do? LOL! Mini session just isn’t in my vocabulary, I guess. Last Friday I did another session with Sasha, on and around the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder. We had such an amazing time, and I look forward to sharing the summer installment of her Silver Creek Colorado senior photos in the coming months. Especially the photos where she sported her pointe shoes, for some stunning dance pictures! It made my dance-loving heart oh so happy 🙂
This is definitely one of my favorites from the session. Sasha’s eyes look incredible, and from this spot I was able to get both the white and pink blossoms. Love!!
During my scouting around Longmont to find blooming trees, I also discovered this cool ivy wall. What’s so funny, and kind of ironic, is that it was on the other side of the building that use to house Morris Photography. This was the photographer that took my own senior photos back in 1999, the summer before my senior year. They also did my dance photos for many, many years, while I was a student at Dance Dimensions in Longmont.
I also stumbled upon this colorful, “graffiti” wall. I think it’s on the Comcast building, which is completely random. But I have been back since, it’s very cool. It’s urban, but still feminine with all of the color and the flowers 🙂

Although the spring blossoms are long gone again, there are plenty of other beautiful garden settings in the Longmont area, and beyond. Or if the urban photos, or even a rustic or mountainous backdrop are more your style, I would love to work with you. Let’s make your class of 2019 senior portrait experience an unforgettable one! […] The Buffington family participated in my first ever spring mini sessions. These Longmont CO family photos took place at Roosevelt Park. But unlike my other family sessions that weekend, we didn’t stick to just one location. After capturing some nice nature photos at the park, we headed down the block for some more urban shots against this artsy wall in downtown Longmont. I found this wall a couple of years ago, while scouting locations for Sasha’s Silver Creek senior photos. You can view that session HERE. […]
