I was quite surprised when I first started chatting with Katrina and Brian, because I had a couple last year also named Katrina and Brian! So funny…because these are the only Katrinas I have ever known 😉 At least I don’t ever have to worry about calling them by the wrong names lol! Coincidentally, I will be working with last year’s “Katrina and Brian” again this year. They will be traveling to Southern Colorado with my husband and I to model for my styled, adventure elopement shoot, that I have been planning for many months now. I hope it’s a fun way for them to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. So anyway, back to the equally awesome “Katrina and Brian #2”. Earlier this year we went into RMNP for their spring Estes Park engagement portraits.
We first stopped at Moraine Park. The weather wasn’t the nicest, so we practically had the place to ourselves. We traveled further back on the trail, than I had ever gone before. I am so glad that we did, because these were some of my favorite photos to date, at this location. After getting a bunch of great stuff at Moraine Park, we drove over to Sprague Lake, had a quick outfit change, and captured some more mountainous engagement photos. Sprague Lake is definitely one of my favorite spots in RMNP. It is beautiful year round, is an easy, flat hike, and has nice variety within a one-mile radius. Katrina and Brian will be getting married later this year, at one of my favorite Colorado venues, Lionscrest Manor. I can’t wait to have them in front of my lens again soon. They are really fun to work with, super sweet to one another, and fall in the Colorado mountains is pretty unbeatable to boot!
This is definitely my favorite from Katrina and Brian’s session! And one of my favorite photos I have ever taken at Moraine Park 🙂

Looking for even more Rocky Mountain National Park Estes Park engagement portraits? Click here to check out one of my old favorites from these popular mountain lake locations 🙂 It’s no wonder these are such popular locations for me and my fellow northern colorado photographers. I even went in the winter of 2017 for my own maternity photo shoot. I am still on the hunt for an adventurous couple to trek up to Trail Ridge Road for some epic mountaintop views with me. Although I am pretty scared of heights myself, it is still a location I would love to see for myself! If you are that adventurous couple, let’s chat soon! You can email me at plumprettyphoto@gmail.com.
Enjoy the rest of your week! What’s coming to the blog next? Another colorful, flower-full spring senior photography session with one of the lovely young ladies from my rep team 🙂 You don’t want to miss it…I promise!
