Hey party people! Long time, no talk. Sorry I have severely neglected my blog, that’s busy season for ya. Before we know it winter will be upon us, and the stunning Dillon Ice Castles will return too. It sure is fun shooting at this unique, jaw-dropping location 🙂 So today I am bringing you my couple’s session with Alli and Carlos, from last winter. I hope these bring you some inspiration if you are planning your own ice castle engagement photos. Especially their clothing choices. I just love the way Alli’s red dress and lips pop against the blue and white backdrop of the ice. And Carlos looked so dapper in his bowtie and suspenders. An excellent combo! Just don’t forget to wear comfy shoes at the ice castles, for the in between, walking moments. High heels and snow/ice, on the other hand, is not such an excellent combo!
If you follow my work you may recognize Alli and Carlos. I have had the pleasure of having them in front of my lens many times over the years. Engagement photos, Alli’s boudoir photos, Longmont wedding photos at the historic Hover home, and they even modeled for us during our group styled shoot at Lone Hawk Farms with Ember Hairstream. They have even sent some of their friends my way…which I so greatly appreciate! They are the sweetest! Alli and Carlos have such easy, natural chemistry together. They easily switch from the serious, modelesque looks, to huge, joyful laughter together. Creating so many picture-perfect moments!
