Rasheda + 1 on the way | Highlands Ranch Maternity Photos | Colorado Portrait Photography

I was actually hired by Rasheda and Efosa to capture their Union Station Denver engagement photos in 2017. That ended up falling through, as they were in different states at the time. Scheduling wasn’t working out, and they had to cancel the session. They got married out of state, and now are finally both living in Colorado. So they contacted me to capture their Highlands Ranch maternity photos. This was one of the only lifestyle maternity sessions I have done. I sure hope it won’t be the last! I had such an amazing time with this gorgeous, sweet family 🙂

Their home is beautiful, and was the perfect backdrop for an at-home session. Nice couch with great lighting for some cozy photos with Rasheda’s tea and belly! Then some cuddling on their bed, and a few steamy shots in the kitchen. We also got some great shots in baby girl’s nursery. The room wasn’t completed, but was looking incredible! So feminine and modern with the flowers on crib wall. Rasheda’s floral dress went perfectly with the nursery…I just love the photos!

Finally, we headed off to the Fly’n B Park for some outdoor, golden hour photos. In theory this was going to be an amazing end to their Highlands Ranch maternity photos, but the mosquitoes ruined our plans! My goodness, it was like nothing I have ever seen. They were absolutely horrible! We didn’t last very long. They were eating us alive, and spoiling the mood of our lovely session. We got a few cute ones and called it a day. It wasn’t the note we necessarily wanted to end on, but I think we were all quite pleased with the photos we captured.

This has got to be one of my favorites from this maternity photography session. I just love that candid, joyful moment!
