Katrina and Brian were such a fun couple to work with! They are just the sweetest, and most gracious couple too. It also doesn’t hurt that they were getting married at one of my most favorite Colorado wedding venues 🙂 I love the way their Lionscrest Manor wedding pictures turned out. I hope you all do too! All of the other Lionscrest Manor weddings I have photographed have been in the summer, or very early fall. This was the first time there was actually nice fall color there…and it was stunning! Especially all of the beautiful aspen trees by their first look location. I sure hope there are other fall Lionscrest weddings in my future.
There were a lot of great and memorable parts to Katrina and Brian’s wedding day. Most notably, Katrina’s beautiful bridal details. Her dress was stunning, as was the fur shrug she added over it. You can never go wrong with sparkly Badgley Mischka bridal shoes either! Her custom “getting ready” shirt was super cute too. It had their wedding date, and “I do” embroidered onto it. What a great idea! Brian looked amazing too in a sharp blue suit with red tie 🙂
Their first look among the golden aspen trees was emotional and full of tears and laughter! Their reception was packed full of fun too! I won’t soon forget their sweet father-daughter and mother-son dances. As well as the hilarious toasts by friends and family. During their cake cutting Brian went ahead and fed himself the cake, rather than his bride. I loved Katrina’s reaction, the first major eye roll of their marriage 😉 After a fun party on the dance floor, that included music from a live band, a whole lot of jumping (and even some flipping), the couple exited through a cloud of colorful bubbles. What an awesome day with an awesome couple!
During their first look, they actually read their vows to one another, rather than during the ceremony. This was super sweet, because they were so private and personal!

You gotta love the variety in photo locations at Lionscrest. I thought it was so great when they added this old truck a few years ago 🙂 It adds a nice little rustic element to your Lionscrest Manor wedding pictures!
