The Aguirres Family | Fort Collins Family Photos | Riverbend Ponds

Another great shoot with the Aguirres family in the books! I cannot thank them enough for their continued loyalty of my little business. I absolutely love working with them, each and every time. We do laugh about our bad luck with the weather for their sessions, though. But we always end up with some great stuff 🙂 This session of their Fort Collins family photos was no exception. A major storm was moving in! The shoot started out mild, and beautiful. By the end we were fighting off intense wind, and on the drive home is was snowing pretty hard. That’s October in Colorado for you though.

Figuring out a location for this session was definitely our biggest challenge. They live in Wyoming, so we considered everywhere from Laramie to Denver, Fort Collins to Boulder…and everywhere in between. Most places were past “peak”, and they really, really wanted good colors! I did some location scouting and thankfully Riverbend Ponds in Fort Collins looked great. I knew once I slightly boosted the colors in editing, they would be thrilled with these Fort Collins family photos. And even though it didn’t work for this particular session, Kerra found a little hidden gem in Gunbarrel. It will definitely be a photo location I use in the future.

Kerra’s mom came along for some shots with her adorable grand babies! I had not seen her since their wedding, so I am so glad that she did 🙂

Archie was thoroughly enjoying this part…don’t you think?! He is about 6 weeks older than my son, Dominic. So it’s really fun to observe the similarities and differences between them!
