Anna-Class of 2020 | Erie Senior Photos | Peak to Peak High School

January 5, 2020

Happy new year, friends! First post in 2020, is the lovely Anna. She is another awesome young lady that I got to work with for her Erie senior photos this past year. Before the bulk of class of 2020 senior photos took place this summer and fall, a bunch of us NOCO photographers got together for a little group “shootout”. These sessions took place at one of my colleague’s homes in Erie. Anna is as sweet as she is beautiful, and the camera loves her! I don’t think I could take a bad picture of the girl. And can we talk about that amazing red hair?! She is halfway through her senior year at Peak to Peak High School in Lafayette, Colorado. I hope it flies by for you, Anna.

This is definitely my favorite of Anna’s Erie senior photos! That expression, that hair, those flowers…oh so good!!

It’s never too early to start thinking about your class of 2021 senior photos! So, why (you may wonder) should you hire Plum Pretty Photography for your (or your child’s) Colorado senior portraits? Here are the top 5 reasons I am the right girl for the job:

  1. Experience

I have photographed over 100 seniors in my 7+ years as a professional photographer. Wind, rain, dreary afternoons, indoors or out, I can consistently provide awesome images for each of my clients. That’s what you deserve, after all, as this is such an important time in your young life. I have also won awards in the annual Shoot & Share photography competition for my senior (and my wedding) work! I bring backup equipment, and tons of memory cards. As well as extra lighting gear, to be prepared for every scenario.

  2. Personalization

I want your senior photography experience to be as unique and amazing as you are! I do not limit the number of outfits you may bring for your session (check out my clothing inspiration Pinterest board HERE), and we can incorporate any of your interests, hobbies, or sports that you are involved in. These usually end up being some of my favorites!

I am also willing to travel for a location that perfectly suits your needs. In 2019 one of my clients wanted to be a real life princess at a castle for her senior portraits, so we settled on the stunning Highlands Ranch Mansion. It was EPIC! Some photographers only stick to their hometown. I just do not want to limit my clients like that. First, we will decide what style of location you gravitate towards…mountains, rustic, urban, lake, gardens, etc. Then I will make suggestions that fit into that style, and we will make the best choice from there. Another way that I offer personalization for my clients’ sessions, is by offering professional hair and make-up as a session add-on.

  3. True-to-life Style

It’s important to understand what type of photography you are drawn to. Do you like “dark and moody” editing, or the opposite “light and airy”? Or, if you are like me, you prefer vibrant, beautiful colors, a bit of contrast and true-to-life skin tones! I try not to do anything too trendy, that won’t “age well”. Your photos will withstand the test of time (well you will probably look back and laugh at your outdated outfit, hair, and make-up choices, like most of us do!), but the photos themselves will remain pretty timeless.

  4. The Plum Pretty Edit
I want all of your images to look amazing, not just the few I may post on social media. Do you have a blemish on the day of your shoot? Not to worry, I will take care of that 🙂 I am not the type of photographer that will just slap a quick filter on every image in the gallery, and call it a day! I am a bit of a perfectionist, so your photos will take a couple weeks (unless your school’s deadline is rapidly approaching). But people do always seem to appreciate my meticulous attention to detail. On the other hand, the Plum Pretty edit is not overdone. You will still look like yourself in the photos, just the best version of yourself. I will NOT over edit your photos so you look like a plastic doll or something lol! It’s a fine balance of “just enough”.
  5. Keepsake Products

I want you to cherish your images forever. Computers fails, technology changes, and USB drives get lost, I don’t want your images gone forever! Therefore, I offer tons of wonderful keepsake products that can be very easily ordered in your online gallery. I do not require that you order anything from me. But if you do chose to, I provide some wonderful offerings from my professional print labs. Metal prints, cool bamboo-mounted prints, classic canvas prints, custom-designed graduation cards, and just about anything else you can imagine!

Thanks, as always, for stopping by the blog. Coming up later this week, Samantha and Stephen’s beautifully low-key wedding in Fort Collins. Check back soon.
