Abby + Alex | Cielo Castle Pines Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographer

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. The first blog post of the week is Abby & Alex’s Cielo Castle Pines wedding. I shot this wedding alongside my dear friend Katy. Abby and Alex had a gorgeous fall wedding last year. Some of my favorite parts of their day included the groomsmen tossing Alex up in the air during the guys’ portraits. I still haven’t been able to convince another group to do this shot! Also, I adored Abby’s gorgeous Badgley Mischka wedding heels, incorporating geodes into the decor, and their cute, individual cherry pies during the reception. Plus, the entire session of romantic bride and groom photos at Daniels Park are what wedding photographer dreams are made of! No, really…the lighting, the couple, the backdrop was all so stunning!! Add in the perfect amount of wind with a long cathedral veil, and I was one happy photographer.

It’s been fun to shoot at Cielo multiple times now, and in different seasons. Abby and Alex had a ultra-sunny day, with an outdoor ceremony. My 2019 wedding here was in the winter, on a bitterly cold day, but with the prettiest soft snowfall. Both days were perfect and beautiful…but couldn’t have been more different! They opted for a first look indoors. That was kind of different, but it totally worked! Alex entered through the doors of the bridal suite, to see his absolutely stunning bride. All the feels 🙂

After the ceremony we immediately headed over to Daniel’s Park for their golden hour bride and groom portraits. It was absolutely stunning out there!

This is definitely one of my favorites from their Castle Pines Colorado wedding!
