Last year, I participated in not one, not two, but three amazing styled shoots. The first was the epic spring shootout at the Great Sand Dunes National Park. You can check out one of those posts HERE. Also, I put together a quick little styled canoe elopement in Estes Park. And finally, here is the first session from my amazing weekend at the lavender fields in Palisade. Flower and Ivy Photography put this shoot together, and it was so stunning. Shelby thought of every last detail! Although, the flower field location for these Grand Junction wedding photos was my absolute favorite part of the day. This styled wedding shoot was held at Sage Creations Organic Farm. If you ever have an opportunity to check out the farm, pick fresh lavender or cherries, and take in the unique beauty of Colorado’s western slope…you will not be disappointed!
For this first post, I am bringing you the styled wedding photos of Landon and Matt. These two were incredible to work with! Landon and Matt both do some modeling, and it sure showed. Landon was as sweet and gracious as they come. And can we talk about those gorgeous blonde locks, and amazing, bombshell curves! She was an absolute joy to photograph, and looked stunning in two different wedding gowns and a fuchsia tulle dress from Dalliance Bespoke. Matt was willing to go along with anything we asked of him. Such a genuinely nice guy…if only every guy was so willing to have his photo taken!

These two can sure pull off that sexy, smoldering look…don’t you think?!

We even got portraits in a cherry orchard! What a unique and memorable day 🙂

These afternoon photos took place in the smaller lavender field…with lavender in gorgeous shades of light and dark purples! An arbor was set up with stunning floral arrangements. How perfect of a ceremony backdrop would that actually make? The lighting was quite bright with the sun still pretty high in the sky, but we still got some stunning Grand Junction wedding photos. The owner also allowed us to go into the larger field for golden hour and sunset. It was nothing short of amazing! They do not typically allow visitors in the large field, so that was a special treat 🙂 It had great mesa mountain views too. Both fields smelled completely amazing. Of course there were honeybees everywhere!
This is definitely one of my favorites from this memorable day in Palisade. That sky, those flowers, those views…and the gorgeous couple!
Stay tuned in the coming months for at least 2 more posts from my awesome day in Palisade. But next up on the blog, the Stanton family’s Golden family photography session. I hope you are all doing well during this scary pandemic. I am a bit stir crazy, as most of you probably are too. Really hoping we will get through this very soon…and be better, stronger people as a result. If any of my clients need anything during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out.
