Dylan | Colorado Hockey Senior Photos | Monarch High School

September 10, 2020

Hello there, it’s been awhile! Although I wasn’t able to work during the beginning of quarantine, and then most of my weddings got cancelled or moved to next year, I still managed to get swamped with work these past few months! I was so busy with current senior sessions, that I hadn’t had an opportunity to blog any of my “class of 2020” sessions. Well, the wait is over 🙂 Meet Dylan! I had the best time capturing these Colorado hockey senior photos for him last year. We met up at the APEX center. Somewhere I had not been to since I was a kid.

This session was a blast! If you follow my work, you know I love capturing senior photos that are unique and personalized. Incorporating hobbies, sports, musical instruments, or even furbabies makes the photos that much better. After capturing some fun hockey photos, we headed over to Standley Lake Regional Park for some nature shots. This is a location I have shot at a few times before. It’s a nice and versatile spot. It offers water and mountain views, mature trees, a bridge and wide open fields. This location has never been overly busy either, which is a huge plus in my book. It’s so nice to practically have the whole place to yourself. On this day, it seemed like the rain could roll in any minute though, so maybe people were taking cover at home.

This actually wasn’t my first time photographing Dylan. Rather my third time! I captured some family photos for Dylan, his dad and stepmom, and sister years ago. In fact, that was my very first time offering mini sessions. So really, a LONG time ago! I also captured his dad and stepmom’s beautiful backyard wedding in 2016. It’s been fun to see him grow up. He’s a kind, sincere and respectful young man. I know he’s got great things in store for his future!

Dylan, I know this wasn’t the senior year you imagined, but I hope all the other wonderful high school memories made up for it. Wishing you the very best in your future!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. No promises when I will blog again though 😉 Especially considering I have nine portrait sessions and two weddings in the next ten days. Three of which happen to be other senior guy sessions. I will have tons of editing to do, so the blog will go to the back burner again…busy season is upon me! I am tired just thinking about it! But sure love all of my awesome clients.

To see another of my favorite senior sessions that incorporated my client’s athletic endeavors, check out Tiana’s swimming session HERE! It was sure a good one!

What a stud! I vividly remember holding him as a baby and I’m impressed to see what an amazing young man he’s grown into.

I couldn’t love his family more! Dylan has grown into such a respectful young man! Time flys!!!
