I can’t believe we are 1/3 of the way through December already! For a year that has gone so extremely slowly and felt like five years, instead of one, this month has flown by. With Christmas Eve in just two weeks, I should probably get some shopping done. Although the week is almost over, here is my first blog post for the week. Some Boulder engagement inspiration at Davidson Mesa with Megan and Matt. This session was sure a good one! I love how lush and green everything was. Sure a stark contrast to what things look like outside right now. Can’t complain too much though…I really do love having four distinct seasons around here!
If you have followed my blog for a long time, you have certainly seen a session or two at Davidson Mesa. I love this location, because it doesn’t require a permit (like so many others do), it’s beautiful, and it’s not terribly far from me. Davidson Mesa has distant flatirons views, open fields, and a little lake right across the street. This location provides a lot of variety, and it’s never too busy. Megan and Matt are a super sweet, easy-going couple! Last year, aside from these engagement photos, I also got to capture their Beaver Creek Resort wedding. I look forward to sharing that here in the coming months, as well. It was a perfect, intimate celebration for these two wonderful people.
Can I just go ahead and order up this weather for every engagement session forever?! It was seriously perfection! It was sunny and gorgeous out. And not only did we get a pretty golden hour, but also a rainbow, and a spectacularly colorful sunset. Add in this adorable, fiercely in love couple, and that was a recipe for an unforgettable engagement session.
This might be some sort of weed…but it sure looks pretty on camera lol! I just love this shot 🙂
But we DID manage to find some real flowers as well! Love the pop of color from these yellow wildflowers 🙂
I told them to dance around, and for Matt to spin her…this was a new take on it! Ya know what? I love it though!
We walked back over to Davidson Mesa and waited a little bit to see if we got some nice sunset color…boy did we!! I utilized my off-camera flash system to really bring out the awesome colors in the sky.
This is definitely one of my favorites from their session. I hope this provides you with some Boulder engagement inspiration, if you are planning your own session.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you would like to check out my more recent work, follow along on Facebook or Instagram. In the coming days I will be sharing Amelia’s Lyons senior photos. As well as Briana & Kevin’s Brainard Lake maternity session. Briana & Kevin were previous wedding clients of mine too. I just love when I get to celebrate the other major milestones in my wedding clients’ lives! Check back soon 🙂
