Happy Thursday, friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week. Pretty good over here, just a slow moving week for me. I started my morning with super exciting things…my sales tax return! Womp, womp! This time of year is super slow for shooting, but still full of business and “behind the scenes” work. Not my favorite 😉 I definitely love capturing pretty pictures way more than the busy work! Today I bring you the adorable Elkins family. We met at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park for their Estes Park family photography session. It was a sunny, fall day…and I love the images we will able to capture!

If you follow my blog, you probably already know how much I love shooting at Sprague Lake. In fact, I had my own maternity photos captured here (as well as a few other RMNP hot spots). It is easily accessible year round, with a flat, easy hike. It also has stunningly gorgeous mountain lake views, a wooden dock and bridges, and a small mountain stream! It’s not unusual to see wildlife here either, especially elk and the occasional moose. During the Elkins family session, we also lucked out with finding this aspen grove during peak fall colors. This provided so much variety during their session. The only negatives with this photo location is that it can be very busy, and it can be very windy! Neither was a big issue during this fall day. It was a truly lovely afternoon, at one of my favorite Estes Park locations!

Such a fun little family…the boys were such good sports! Some kids really don’t enjoy having their photos taken. These two were wonderful!
