Well, it’s only Monday and already feeling like an incredibly slow week LOL! I am sure it’s the lack of sleep last night. As well as the lack of sunshine today, it’s been gloomy and chilly. My afternoon with Ally and Nick was quite the opposite weather. Their Colorado mountain engagement pictures at Gross Reservoir were full of sunshine, warmth, and light 🙂 It was a wonderful, fun session with a sweet, laid-back couple. Ally and Nick also brought along their pup, which is always great. I may not be a dog owner myself, but your furbaby is always a great addition to any engagement photography session. That is your little family after all, and it makes the photos so much more personal!
Gross Reservoir is a truly great location for a photoshoot. In 2020, I visited for family sessions, high school senior sessions, and engagement sessions alike. It boasts beautiful mountain and water views, some rock outcroppings, fences and a small bridge, lots of pine trees, and even a colorful aspen grove during the fall season. It’s remote enough to not be overly packed with people. Which is especially good during these covid times! But not so remote that it requires a long drive into the mountains, followed by a several mile hike 😉
This is definitely one of my favorites of their Colorado mountain engagement pictures! Pure love and joy!
Thank you Ally and Nick! I know you were planning to get married out-of-state in 2020. If that ended up happening, I hope your big day was everything you dreamed it would be! And that newlywed life is treating you great 🙂 If you had to postpone your wedding due to the pandemic, like so many other 2020 couples, I hope your hearts aren’t too broken! And that you will have an even more picture perfect wedding day this year. My next blog post will be yet another mountain session…the Boehm family’s Breckenridge photoshoot is coming to the blog soon. I hope you will check back!
