I have worked with the Boehm family on many occasions, and until this summer they were our next-door neighbors. We sure miss seeing them nearly everyday! Our most recent shoot together was kind of different, but such a fun time. We traveled up to Summit County for their Breckenridge Colorado family photographs. The session started at the High Line Railroad Park. I have actually shot at this park before, but in the wintertime. The boys had fun playing on the playground equipment, and checking out the old trains. We got a great mix of candid, fun shots, and posed, smiling portraits.
Melynda and Eric were celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary on this weekend, so they wanted to go back to where it all began…the Lodge at Breckenridge. If you would like to check out my blog post from their big day, you can find that HERE. Luckily there wasn’t a wedding going on on this day, and we were able to capture some images on the very deck where they exchanged their vows. We even replicated a couple of their wedding photos. So cute that their family has doubled it’s members since then 😉 Eric had a sweet surprise up his sleeve, that he let me know about. He had another wedding band for Melynda, that the boys delivered. The most fun part about it, is that they carried the exact sign that was carried on their wedding day. The sign had said “Here Comes Your Bride”. Eric changed it to read “Here Come Your Best Men”. Melynda was surprised and thrilled…it was the most fun, memorable part of the entire day!
It wasn’t all fun and games…bless little Paxton’s heart lol!!
This is one of my favorites of their Breckenridge Colorado family photographs. We shot a “walking photo” of Melynda and Eric in this very spot at their 2014 wedding too!
Thank you Boehm family! I am sad that you aren’t our neighbors anymore. But genuinely hope to still get the kiddos together for post-pandemic playdates, and I also hope to have your cute, smiling faces in front of my camera again soon 🙂 So what’s up on the blog next? Carly and Mark’s fall Fort Collins wedding…you don’t want to miss it! Stay warm out there, and have a wonderful day!
