Hey friends! Busy season has arrived already, so the blog is going to get pretty quiet again. I most definitely did not get caught up, but progress over perfection, right?! Today I am bringing you some Boulder family photography inspiration from the South Mesa Trail. This late fall photo session with the Laughlin family was a wonderful one. Minus the crazy wind! I have worked with the Laughlin crew a bunch of times, and I so appreciate their continued support of my little business 🙂 The Laughlin family always looks so great at their sessions too! Their outfits all compliment each other so nicely, without being too “matchy”. I really loved the color scheme for this particular session. Maroon, mustard and navy blue worked beautifully with the scenery. What a perfect combo for fall!
South Mesa is a really amazing location, that offers so much variety! Flatirons and mountain views, open fields, rustic wooden fences and a bridge, an old stone structure, and a nice flowing creek. The one downfall is that it can be extremely busy! We didn’t deal with that too much on this evening, perhaps because it was later into the fall season. The wind and chilly weather may have kept some folks at home too.
I love when not just the little kids have fun at our family sessions 😉
We have re-created this photo every time we have done a session with cutie Mr. Owen! He’s such a ham in front of the camera these days 🙂
This one is definitely a favorite from their Boulder Colorado family photos…candid and joyful! I love it!

Thank you Laughlin family for being my most loyal clients…I sure love you guys! Looking forward to our summer 2021 session together in a couple months. I just know it will be awesome, as you guys are always wonderful to work with 🙂 And now, you are a family of 7! I cannot wait to meet your newest little man Laughlin. Enjoy these warmer days together!
