The Politte Family | Boulder Colorado Family Pictures | South Mesa Trail

For my first blog post of the new week, I am bringing you the Politte family. They were the first family I photographed for my fall 2019 mini sessions. They were brand new Coloradans and drove from Castle Rock for their session. We met at the ever popular South Mesa Trail for their Boulder Colorado family pictures. I like doing mini sessions every fall, but the problem with my 2019 sessions is that I procrastinated setting these up. So by the time that I did, I only had two fall dates open…one Friday, and one Sunday (but on different weekends!). Oh well, better than nothing! I wasn’t sure how Friday afternoon sessions would do, because  of people’s work and school schedules. Lesson learned (and no big surprise), they are not ideal for most clients. I only booked two families on this afternoon. Fortunately, they were two awesome families, that still made it a lovely, worthwhile afternoon.

The Politte family was such a sweet, adorable bunch. I mean, can we talk about these amazing outfits?! They looked like a model family 🙂 Very stylish and cute outfits…especially mama and daughter with those amazing tights! The guys looked pretty handsome too 🙂 The whole family complimented the scenery and fall foliage very nicely. Now, we didn’t quite get peak fall colors on this date, but things still looked really nice. I was sure to tuck them into little colorful “nooks” here and there too, so we could take advantage of the fall colors we did have. All in all, it was a wonderful session that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’d say we got a ton of variety for a twenty minute mini session…don’t you think?

While I love the flatirons shots, this is definitely a favorite from their Boulder Colorado family pictures! I just love the sun peeking through and adding an even warmer glow to the yellow foliage.
