Hooray…it’s Friday! This week has been a long one, for some reason. Spending some time with my twin this weekend, and that’s always good for my soul. I hope you have something special planned as well. Today I am sharing part one of Gabriela and Wisman’s engagement session. Yes, you read that right! These two were visiting from Florida with some friends. They couldn’t narrow it down to just one location, so we made a day of it. Part one is their Garden of the Gods engagement photos. We got up early, early to begin a long day of traveling and shooting. Their session began at High Point Overlook, just before sunrise. We wanted to start early enough to ensure we had adequate shooting time before it started getting too bright out.
I don’t get to capture enough photos at Garden of the Gods. Colorado Springs couples hit me up!!
It really is one of my favorite locations. But since I am up north and the majority of my clients are up north (or in the mountains), I don’t get down that way all that often. The weddings and sessions I have had there, however, have never disappointed! It’s also special to me because I had my own engagement photos taken there back in 2010. So when I do book sessions there, it always brings back such wonderful memories.
Gabriela and Wisman were such a sweet couple! I say that about a lot of clients (it’s never a lie), but these guys were especially awesome. They had great chemistry on camera, they were up for anything, and they were appreciative and courteous throughout. They stuck to one outfit at this location, which made things easier. After all, they had a whole other epic location for another outfit opportunity. Gabriela wore a beautiful pink, flowy tulle dress. Wisman opted for a white button down, and jeans. They looked great! I never limit the amount of outfits during couple’s sessions. Since we did have a 3 hour drive between sessions on this day though, keeping outfit changes to a minimum was a great plan!
This is definitely one of my favorites from their Garden of the Gods engagement photos! A sweet, tender moment with an epic backdrop!
Stay tuned for part two this coming week. You don’t want to miss out on that Great Sand Dunes gorgeousness! It was quite windy as usual there, but we got some really amazing images that I know Gabriela and Wisman were thrilled about. Very different landscapes from what they have in Florida…that’s for sure! Next on the blog though, Rylee and Lola’s best friends senior session in Erie. Check back for all that cuteness! I hope you have a wonderful weekend all.
