Sadie and Fabian were visiting family in the Denver area for the Christmas holiday. They thought it would be fun to capture some pregnancy photos with our stunning Colorado landscapes. Which are, obviously, vastly different from their Texas surroundings. We originally planned to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. With the government closure, however, the park wasn’t being maintained and I had heard that the roads were really icy, and some popular areas weren’t accessible at all. We decided to move locations. They wondered about Red Rocks. I knew we didn’t have enough time to obtain a permit for their session, so I suggested Garden of the Gods. It’s a lot further for me, but it’s so worth the drive. One of my favorite Colorado backdrops. It was the perfect choice for this Colorado Springs maternity photography session!
For a late December session, the weather was absolutely stunning! It’s quite funny, so many non-Colorado people think it’s always snowy here. In reality, many of our winter days look like this one did 🙂 We had some gorgeous sunshine, which lasted just until the last 15 minutes or so. Then, a cold front began to move in, and it got windy…and pretty chilly. We already had so much good stuff, so we wrapped things up, and called it a (totally successful and fun) day!
I do own six maternity dresses, that I offer to all of my maternity clients. Sadie, however, didn’t need to wear any of them. She had two gorgeous dresses of her own, complete with floral sashes. It may be cliche, but she was totally glowing, and I just love how the photos turned out. These two are planning to tie the knot and welcomed a baby in 2019…what an incredible year of blessings and so much love!

This has got to be my favorite from their Colorado Springs maternity photography session. Such a sweet, tender moment! They even got a canvas print of this shot 🙂

Thank you Sadie and Fabian. I hope life as new parents is going amazingly well so far 🙂 All the best with your upcoming wedding. You both deserve all the happiness in the world!
To see another of my favorite winter maternity sessions, check out the Aguirres family HERE! I also did my own maternity photos during the winter. Snowy and cold, or sunny and warm…it’s always a good time to celebrate your pregnancy, and the soon-to-be addition to your family. Have a great Thursday, friends. Yay, the weekend is almost upon us!
