Alejandro is a very kind, soft-spoken young man that I had the pleasure of photographing. We met up at Skyline High School for his Colorado baseball senior pictures. Alejandro was referred to me by Andrew, another student and athlete at Skyline. I am always so honored when clients refer me to their friends too! I don’t think Alejandro truly loved being in front of the camera. But he was extremely polite and happily went along with anything his mom and I suggested. Not all senior guys are so compliant! In the end, I know he liked the results of his personalized and unique senior photography session.
Baseball is such an important part of Alejandro’s life. So we were sure to incorporate that into a lot of his photos. His mom brought along a bat, ball, glove, some jerseys, and his letterman jacket. It’s always fun to have props for senior portraits too, they help get the creativity flowing! After a bunch of photos on the baseball field, we headed across town to McIntosh Lake. Here we got some more Longmont senior photos, but in a colorful nature setting. The sky was very strange and almost eerie on this evening, because of the heavy wildfire smoke. The sun appeared very red, the sky pink and hazy, and ash even fell from the sky. It was a bit hard to get the mountain views in there as a result, but we did manage to capture them.
This is definitely one of my favorites from Alejandro’s Colorado baseball senior pictures.
Can you spot the photoshop magic I performed in this image? I wanted the scoreboard to read 2021…his graduation year. BUT I couldn’t have the home team losing! So I also switched the “guest” and the “home” on the scoreboard. Some extra work for sure…but they loved it! So worth going the extra mile for my great clients 🙂
Thanks again Alejandro! I hope you are still pursuing your love for baseball, I know what an important part of your life it was. Looking forward to having my son give baseball a try when he’s a year or so older. It’s in his blood a bit…my father-in-law and brother-in-law were both very into baseball! Coming to the blog tomorrow, a gorgeous couple in gorgeous RMNP. Check back then, for Martha and Jimmy’s engagement session.
