Martha + Jimmy | Colorado Fall Engagement Photos | Rocky Mountain National Park

February 10, 2022

Meet Martha & Jimmy! I was so thrilled when this gorgeous couple hired me for their Lionscrest Manor wedding. And it turns out that both of these two used to work with my brother-in-law. Such a small world! We had such a spectacular evening in Rocky Mountain National Park for their Colorado fall engagement photos. We even timed it just right so the foliage was at it’s peak.

Their session began at Moraine Park. Martha wore a striking wine colored, lace sleeve, flowy dress. It popped well against all the golden grasses and the blues of the mountains. She added a trendy hat here and there throughout the shoot. Accessories are always a good idea in my book! Jimmy opted for a blue button down and tan pants. They are such a cute couple, it was just about impossible to take a bad photo of these two!

Next, we went to Sprague Lake. Another favorite location of mine! We got photos around the lake, on the dock, bridges, and two separate aspen groves. One was tightly packed full of vibrant yellow leaves. The other was not as densely packed with trees, but was sure worth the added stop. This one was on a beautiful hillside and was showing off with some more orangish aspens. Colorado fall is often yellow and more yellow! So finding some oranges and reds is always so great 🙂

I had a bunch of favorites from Martha & Jimmy’s Colorado fall engagement photos. This is definitely one of them! Gorgeous couple, vibrant colors, in a picture perfect setting.

For their second outfits, they went for more casual looks. Martha went with neutral tones. Black jeans, a cream sweater, and camel colored ankle boots. Jeans and a green long sleeve shirt for Jimmy. Cute and cozy together! I was so thrilled with the variety of images we were able to capture on this picturesque evening. Fun, candid, romantic, some traditional, so creative…we got a little bit of everything!Estes park couples portraits at Sprague Lake RMNP mountain engagement pictures at Sprague lake in Rocky Mountain national park Colorado fall engagement photos in RMNP by Estes Park wedding photographer Plum Pretty PhotographySunset engagement photos at Sprague Lake in Estes Parkcouple posing in aspen grove during Colorado fall engagement portraits Couples portraits in aspen grove in CO mountains couple kissing on dock during Colorado lake engagement photography session couple posing on dock at Sprague Lake during Estes park portraits Colorado fall engagement photos in RMNP by Estes Park wedding photographer Plum Pretty Photographypiggy back ride in aspen grove during Colorado fall engagement photos Colorado mountain couples portraits at Sprague lake

Thanks again Martha and Jimmy. This was a truly wonderful and memorable session in our beautiful Rocky Mountains. I hope you will cherish these images always. I just know they will inspire other couples for years to come! On the blog next, another fall session. This one is one of my former dance teammates and her precious family at Golden Ponds in Longmont.
