Happy March all! While it may not be spring quite yet, the beginning of March always makes it feel that much closer! Today on the blog I am sharing Juliette and Taylor’s Boulder wedding pictures. They were married on a mild spring day at Wedgewood weddings on Boulder Creek. I have shot at this location multiple times before. This one was extra special though because I have known Taylor since he was two years old! Taylor and his family lived in the house next to my parents for awhile. Even when they moved to a different part of the Longmont my sisters and I continued to babysit Taylor, and then his sister Alyssa when she was born. It was such an honor to capture his wedding photos…as well as his sister’s wedding photos all in the same year. What a busy and exciting year for this family!
Juliette and Taylor had a beautiful celebration of love. They strongly believe in love in all forms, and they even made statements about inclusivity in love. This really stood out as an amazing, powerful moment, and just speaks to how great this couple really is! Some other parts of their wedding day that I love included the “first touch” that they did prior to the ceremony. If you are not familiar with a “first touch” it’s where a couple is back-to-back (often around a door or wall) and then they can hold hands, talk, laugh or cry, but without actually seeing each other before the wedding ceremony processional.
Taylor is such an emotional guy…and it was so touching to document!
Taylor cried during the “first touch”, and he really lost it when he first saw Juliette coming down the aisle as well. Loved his reaction! I think that’s the reaction every bride dreams of when they are coming down the aisle. Juliette’s brother was their ceremony officiant. That made it so personal and so full of emotion. It was indeed a day FULL of emotion. I also loved their wedding day florals by the Painted Primrose. Especially the ceremony arbor flowers. They were romantic and stunning. Their tented reception setup and details were elegant and timeless as well. Finally, I absolutely love how their nighttime portraits turned out as well. They put some vape smoke into the air, which I lit up blue with my flashes for a neat effect. Not a shot you see everyday!
We couldn’t find any tissues nearby, but there was a basket of disposable paper masks. Taylor dried his tears with a mask. A pretty fitting image in these covid times.
This is definitely a favorite from their Boulder wedding pictures. I just love a dramatic nighttime portrait!

Juliette and Taylor, thank you so much! From the bottom of my heart, I am so honored to have captured these memories for you both. Wishing you a lifetime of as much emotion and joy as your wedding day had. I cannot wait to witness what the future has in store for you two 🙂 On the blog next, Kiana’s sunny and snowy mountain senior portraits in Evergreen. Lots more blog posts coming your way in this new month. I hope you will check back soon and often.
