Chrissy and Jesse are a wonderful couple that I had the pleasure of photographing last summer. I loved that they incorporated their animals into these Northern Colorado couples photos. Their dogs joined in for a few photos, as well as Chrissy’s beloved horse. We got permission to shoot these photos on private land, so we literally had the place to ourselves. The lighting was perfect, this couple was awesome…it was just about a perfect session! I say “just about” because the only issue was the heat. The temperature gauge in my car on the drive over was saying 102°. I was a little nervous we would all be dripping with sweat, or someone might pass out! Thankfully the temp dropped into the 90s and we got a bit of cloud cover too. I know Jesse was still very toasty in his long sleeve shirt, jeans, and cowboy hat though. But he was a trooper and didn’t complain at all!
Chrissy and Jesse were so sweet together. They hadn’t been together super long, but their love seemed so natural and genuine. I am definitely rooting for them! Who knows, maybe you will see their wedding photos here on my blog someday? They kept things easy with one location and one outfit. But boy did we manage to get a ton of variety! Candids and action shots, romantic portraits, sitting, standing, “family shots” with the animals…a little of everything! We incorporated the foothills scenery, lush, open fields, and the wood and rustic elements at the ranch. We got some gorgeous golden hour lighting too, it was worth getting a little sweaty for 😊
This is definitely one of my favorites from their Northern Colorado couples photos. Love this soft and romantic moment, those little white flowers, and that gorgeous golden light!
Thanks for supporting my small business Chrissy and Jesse! It was really wonderful to meet you two, and your animals. Wishing you many years of love and friendship together. If you end up getting engaged…holla at your girl LOL! On the blog next, another very cool couple, Kara and Mitchel. They were visiting from out-of-state and we captured their mountain maternity photography session at Echo Lake Park. Check back soon!
